Mail Preparation & Pick Up

Our hassle-free mail preparation requirements and in-house transportation save clients time and money from start to finish of the mailing process.

 

To prepare a mailing for us, clients simply print and palatalize their mail, submit the job through our cloud-based Workflow Management System, request a pick-up time, and we pick it up right from their facility. We never require clients to presort their mail or provide data prior to pick up. 

 

Clients say they are able to increase their machine output and add capacity because, with ODMS, they spend less time on mail sort and preparation.

 

Commingling & Presort Services

 

Once mail is at our facility, we are committed to providing the most expedited delivery times possible. We never “hold mail” but process and commingle it immediately with same-day processing across all postal products.

 

With the objective of obtaining concentrations to the same ZIP Codes, we begin by combining mail streams from multiple mailers and sorting it into ZIP Code sequence. This process enables us to participate in the United States Postal Service’s Work Share Program, a program that provides mailers and presort bureaus with significant discounts for preparing mail to strict USPS specifications. Postal inspectors visit our facilities daily so that mail can leave the facility quickly for its appropriate destination entry point. Mail comes and goes continuously!

 

In addition to reducing postage costs, our commingling and presort processes expedite delivery by reducing the processing required by USPS once mail is submitted to the post office.

USPS Destination Delivery

With a nationwide network of trusted trucking partners, we provide destination delivery for all mail through the utilization of drop-shipping, the practice of physically trucking mail across the country to the USPS Network Distribution Center (NDC) or Sectional Center Facility (SCF) that is closest to the mail’s final destination.

 

While typical delivery processes without drop-shipping require mail to pass through as many as six postal processing centers, over 90 percent of ODMS-delivered mail touches only one or two postal processing centers, further reducing in-home delivery time.

 

We ship to over 450 unique processing facilities in the contiguous US and our trucks are on the road 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, 365 days a year!

Total Transparency

 

Our innovative cloud-based Workflow Management System gives clients the unique ability to track their jobs through each phase of the ODMS process - providing total visibility from the moment that mail is picked up.

 

Clients simply generate a barcoded Work Unit Tag through our online portal and place the tags with their mail for pick up. Our team members then scan the unique barcode at each phase of the mailing process to provide complete job level visibility - from pick up, to quality control, through processing, and even to billing.

We inspect all mail for proper classification, weight, postage, and print quality to ensure seamless USPS acceptance and delivery.

 

All of our processes have been developed consistent with Platinum Full-Service Certification guidelines, and we are a certified Full-Service Certified Mail Service Provider by the United States Postal Service.
